Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kohlrabi ("the Service"), an AI-powered email assistant operated by Kohlrabi ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. What Kohlrabi Does

Kohlrabi connects to your Gmail and Google Calendar to:

• Read and classify inbound emails by intent
• Generate and send or draft replies on your behalf
• Check calendar availability and create bookings

Kohlrabi acts as your assistant. Emails sent by Kohlrabi come from your Gmail account and appear in your Sent folder. You are responsible for the content of all messages sent from your account.

2. Your Account

• You must provide a valid email address and accurate business information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• One account per business. Do not share account access.

3. Google API Access

Kohlrabi accesses your Google account via OAuth 2.0. You grant this access voluntarily and can revoke it at any time via Google Account Permissions. Revoking access will disable the email agent until you reconnect.

Our use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. AI-Generated Content

Kohlrabi uses AI (Google Gemini) to classify emails and generate responses. While we design the system for accuracy:

• AI-generated responses may contain errors or inappropriate content.
• You should review drafts before sending when possible.
• Auto-sent replies are only enabled when you explicitly turn on auto-send and set a confidence threshold.
• We are not liable for the content of AI-generated messages sent from your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Kohlrabi to send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk email
• Process emails containing protected health information (PHI) subject to HIPAA without appropriate safeguards
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

6. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Kohlrabi may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. When the agent is unavailable, emails remain in your Gmail inbox unprocessed.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Kohlrabi is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• We do not store email content — Gmail is the source of truth.
• OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Deletion removes all stored data including tokens, metadata, client records, and bookings. This action is irreversible.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your dashboard.
